What are the possible reasons for the remote control not working properly?

What’s Wrong With the Remote Control of Electric Skateboard?

Case 1:

If this describes your situation:

The buttons on the remote control won't work. They can't be pushed.

Possible reasons for this:

1. The button chips are defective. 
2. The battery inside the remote control is broken and causes the bulge to push up the buttons.

Case 2:  

If this describes your situation:

The remote control automatically brakes or accelerates the skateboard. It has a laggy or slow display and fails to accelerate the skateboard with the throttle wheel.

Possible reasons for this: 

The hall element of the throttle deviates from the center position.

In order to solve this, you can recalibrate the remote control. Reset the remote control to factory settings. When the remote control is off, press and hold the remote control power button and setting button at the same time to enter a setting interface, then turn it off and turn it on again to try if the fault disappears. If it does not disappear, replace the remote control with a new one.

Case 3:

If this describes your situation:

The screen of the remote control does not display.

Possible reasons for this:

The components on the internal circuit board were damaged by being dropped, and the remote control needs to be replaced.

Case 4:

If this describes your situation:

The remote control won't charge.

Possible reasons for this:

1. The mainboard of the remote control is defective.
2. The battery of the remote control is defective.
3. The charging cable is damaged. (low possibility)

Case 5:

If this describes your situation:

When riding normally on a flat road, the remote control occasionally fails to accelerate or brake the skateboard.

Possible reasons for this:

1. There is a mechanical failure of the remote control throttle, and the remote control needs to be replaced.
2. For repaired skateboards, check whether the receiving antenna of the controller is pasted on the board and whether it falls off. Check the receiving antenna of the controller and paste it firmly to avoid falling off and having damage.
3. There will be a brief 2-3 seconds of interference and conflict between the 2.4G signal of the traffic light intersection, public security monitoring, and radar speed measurement and the 2.4G signal of the remote control. Under this situation, please immediately reset the throttle to the middle position. Or brake first and then accelerate.

Case 6:

The remote control fails to brake when riding downhill with a fully charged skateboard.

Possible reasons for this:

Possway electric skateboard has a regenerative brake system that charges the battery when riding downhills with braking. If the skateboard is fully charged in this situation, it will result in a brief 1-2 second overshoot and overvoltage protection. The battery may turn off, and the remote control fails to brake temporarily (in some cases).
